Two offices, one phone number, and a coverage area we describe honestly, including where it ends.
BDM Mechanical serves Bridgeport, CT and the shoreline from Norwalk to Madison, including Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull, Shelton, Milford, West Haven, New Haven, Hamden, Branford and Guilford. Calls are dispatched from the Brookfield Ave service office in Bridgeport and the head office in Guilford.
Coverage follows the two offices. The service office on Brookfield Ave in Bridgeport's North End handles the city and the towns bordering it. The head office on Oxbow Ln in Guilford covers the shoreline towns to the east. One phone number reaches both, and when you call we tell you which office your technician is coming from.
Bridgeport itself
Most of our work is inside the city. From the North End, where the service office sits, we reach Black Rock, the East Side, the West End and downtown on routine calls. Bridgeport has some of the oldest housing in the state, so a typical week here is steam and hot-water boilers, oil burners, radiator repairs and ductless systems going into houses that were never built for ducts.
West and north: Fairfield to Norwalk, Trumbull and Shelton
Fairfield sits right on the city line to the west, Westport and Norwalk follow along I-95, and Trumbull and Shelton are a short drive north. The work there leans toward forced-air systems, central air replacements and heat pumps, alongside the same oil and boiler work found in older neighborhoods.
East along the shore: Stratford and Milford
Stratford borders Bridgeport to the east and Milford follows along the coast. Both mix older houses with postwar neighborhoods, and both see a steady run of furnace, boiler and air conditioning replacements, with permits and inspections handled through each town.
New Haven and the shoreline to Madison
From the Guilford office we cover New Haven, Branford, Guilford itself and Madison. Oil heat is still common along this stretch, so oil burner cleanings, oil-to-gas conversions and heat pump installs make up much of the work, along with emergency no-heat calls in winter.
Where our coverage ends
Coverage thins out beyond those towns. Past Norwalk to the west, north of Shelton and Trumbull, and east of Madison, we take planned work such as installs and maintenance when the schedule allows, but we cannot promise the same response for emergencies. If you are near the edge, call and we will tell you straight away whether we are the right company for the job.
How calls are routed between the two offices
Every call goes to the same place first. The person who answers takes your address and the symptoms, and routes the job to whichever office is closer and has a technician free. On a busy winter night that may be the other office, and you are told before anyone is sent.
Planned work, such as a replacement or a heat pump install, is scheduled from the office nearest the job so the same crew can return for the inspection and any follow-up. Maintenance visits are grouped by town, which is how we keep the fall and spring schedules manageable across the whole area.
